The Youth, Peace and Security work pillar at YTN focuses on empowering young people to play active roles in promoting peace, preventing conflict, participating in peace-building efforts directly, and addressing the root causes of violence in their communities through the YPS agenda. Through the efforts of our YPS team, we are determined to establish YTN as a key player in the YPS agenda, to push for its adaptation in countries in the global south, and to tackle the gaps in its implementation. YTN also conducts work on international advocacy and policy engagement with stakeholders and within the UN. Our team works on cross-sectoral partnerships to promote the agenda. Overall, our team harnesses the potential of young people especially through the YPS agenda as catalysts for positive change in conflict-affected and fragile contexts, promoting a culture of peace, and building sustainable peace from the ground up.
