Youth Transforming Narratives has Officially Launched during the ECOSOC’s Youth Forum 2024

New York City — Today marks the exciting launch of Youth Transforming Narratives, a global movement of young people led by young people for young people.

Founded by a dynamic international team of young passionate and committed leaders, YTN aims to redefine global responses to the world’s most pressing issues. Building on the principles of decolonization, localization, and youth leadership, YTN is determined to challenge the narrative, take the lead in transforming the current existing structures, and bridge the South-North gap to re-shape future engagement.

YTN envisions a world where the South-North gap does not exist, where youth are meaningfully engaged in decision and policy making, and where global responses to local issues are based on insights from local communities themselves. YTN believes in the need to re-evaluate current structures where most young people from the global south are excluded in peace negotiations, peacebuilding and policymaking. As powerful agents of change, YTN sees a world where young people are the primary frontline problem solvers of pressing global issues, where they are confident, safe, engaged, and well informed to respond in a way that ensures long-term sustainability.

Youth Transforming Narratives is not just an organization; it’s a movement—a call to action for every young person who believes in the power of their voice and the impact of their actions.

We invite young people from all backgrounds to join us in this exciting journey. Whether you’re a budding activist, a creative thinker, or someone who simply wants to make a difference, YTN  is the place for you.
