With over two decades of diverse experience, Safiya Ibn Garba stands as a leader in sustainable development, peacebuilding, and education. Her extensive work in the non-profit sector has solidified her expertise in empowering girls and women, project and event management, gender advocacy, peacebuilding, facilitation, and capacity development. Safiya is a certified Learning and Development Professional with the Global Skill Development Council, bringing her wealth of knowledge to every initiative. She is also the visionary behind Kabilun Africa Think Tank (KATT), a dynamic platform aimed at promoting thought leadership, policy advocacy, and sustainable transformation for the future Africa deserves.

The New Generation Uniting Nations (NGUN) Project is the exciting Youth Initiative of Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD), a UN ECOSOC accredited non-profit organization based in The Hague. The NGUN Project aims to empower diverse young changemakers in their advocacy journey, and to help bridge the gap between youth and international decision-making. As such, this initiative features online and in-person/hybrid events addressing various pressing topics of our time. The NGUN team strives to make these events as accessible as possible, ensuring that young voices who too often go unheard are also given space and find true consideration. As official partners, the NGUN Project and YTN will collaborate to shape the global narrative!
